Finding sound
After searching across multiple websites such as audiojungle.net, and freesound.org for royalty free music we found a variety of sound effects that we can use in our production. For example a police siren can be used to emphasise the presence of law enforcement, creating a false sense of security as the audience believe they will be able to help but they are later displayed to be incompetent.
Another sound effect we found is a bass filled 'swoosh' that may be used for our inter-titles as it emphasises the impact of each second that passes by, creating suspense as the audience await to see the conclusion when the time hits 0.
While editing we have searched for new sound effects that will fit with a short, high paced sequence, one we found is a very quick bass sound that will assist in building tension as it juxtaposes the high pitched building music that accompanies it.

Locations
To create verisimilitude that would lead to a larger emotional impact on our audience we decided to film portions of our trailer in a local park and nearby field. This means that other parents may be able to empathise taking their child to a park very similar. Leading to a much greater emotional response as the child is taken as the parent will fear the same fate making root for the protagonist, creating immersion as they get more emotionally invested.
Mise-en-scene
The mise-en-scene we use will be used mainly to create emotions of tension and suspense as they are conventional emotions of the thriller genre. The use of props will be important as our settings may not initially look how we want them to, for example, shots we attempt to do in the school may have props that are unnecessary or break the verisimilitude of the scene as they're out of place. Costumes will help the audience empathise with the characters or feel unsure about their motives, the way we will do this is by using lighter colours on the protagonists such as white or pink to connote innocence and purity. In contrast we will use darker colours such as grey or black with antagonists or people who are suspects to create suspicion for the audience.
Prop List
Police tape tells the audience that a crime has been committed, this creates discomfort and raises tension as a young child was involved so they will worry for her safety.
A missing child poster will be used to further connote the danger and desperation that is present throughout the film regarding the child's abduction.
We chose to use a clock to emphasise the mother's struggle with impatience and frustration, she takes out these emotions irrationally, this is connoted by the destruction of the clock with the baseball bat.
Make-up
To create more tension and adrenaline we will be using make-up that will make it appear as though a character is injured, this will make the audience anticipate a fight or violence in the film. The make-up artist will be Jemma Hunt, here's an example of her work.

News Reporter
This will be used in the trailer to create verisimilitude as it is generally expected that if a child goes missing there will be a news story associated with their disappearance. This will create tension as the film may feel slightly too real for comfort for some.

Target Audience
Young adults and people with young children are the target audience for the trailer, this is because they have a disposable income to be able to purchase the film or view it in a cinema. Young adults will also have time to view it in the evening as they have a large amount of free time, this is a good viewing time for thrillers as the time of day can affect the intensity of suspense created in the film.
Housewives may be interested in the film as they spend a lot of time with their children, meaning that the topic of the film will perhaps create the viewing satisfaction of personal identity as they could have been unable to find a child at some time. White British people will be targeted as they can identify with the protagonist more, being of the same race.
Those of all levels of education will be targeted as people who are less educated can enjoy the thriller aspects, whereas more educated people may be more able to enjoy the crime/mystery aspects of the text.
Those who are protective over their children will be targeted and will be more effected by the film as it works on a protective parent’s greatest fear, losing a child. They may watch this while someone else is looking after their child or they are out of the room due to the age rating, this will increase their paranoia and will create empathy with the protagonist. These people tend to use the news for information so using news extracts will create emotions of anxiety and fear.

Film Magazine Research
The masthead of a film magazine is often very large and
consists of bold colours such as red or blue that can catch the eye of the
audience due to its contrast with the background. It is also placed slightly
behind the main character making it look like it’s a part of the scene with
them and showing that the character or actor on the front is the most important
part of the magazine. This draws the attention of fans of the film or the actor
as they will look to the magazine and buy it to find out things about them.
The tagline is a short one liner or sentence that can
attract an audience to the magazine quickly since it is often one of the first
things they read on the front cover. This makes them want to continue reading.
The pug is used to advertise a main story inside of the
magazine; this is done because it is one of the first things that are seen so
it can draw in readers quickly.
Puffs draw attention to certain sections of a magazine cover
by making the text stand out more; this is done by making the text into a shape
or adding a sticker.
Cover lines that advertise other films draw in wider
audiences as people who are interested in those films will want to read on.
Institutional information makes the magazine appear more
professional and worth the readers money to purchase.
Persuasive techniques can encourage readers to read on by
suggesting that you can’t find the information in any other magazine.
